Releases for April 2008

16th June, 2008

Heatbeat - Nebula

Label: High Contrast Nu Breed
Released: 25th April, 2008

A superb production by Argentinean duo Heatbeat who are definitely on fire with their belt of releases. A tight bass line with a very vivid yet distinct melody courtesy of the progressive culture dominating club land lately. The atmosphere is very relaxed and intense at the same time. Watch out for the second break down in this one, really pulls it off!

Ronski Speed featuring Aruna - All The Way

Label: Euphonic
Released: 21st April, 2008

Ronski Speed featuring Aruna - All The Way The sultry voice of Aruna is back in this new single by Ronski Speed. The track begins very smoothly with some techy synths laying the foundation of the track. The break down approaches very quickly and then we have the glorious voice of Aruna introduced just at the right time. This lady is doing really well, watch out for her in the near future...

Armin van Buuren & DJ Shah featuring Chris Jones - Going Wrong

Label: Armind
Released: 9th April, 2008

Guitars on bass and synths on rock-n-roll vox is what "Going Wrong" is all about. Brilliant collaboration by Armin and Shah, this one went down well in the charts as well as the clubs. Featured on both Armin's and Shah's albums, this track has a very happy feel to it. Energetic and mellow at the same time, don't miss on to this one. (The video for this one is kind of funny though.)

Rachel Loy - Big Sky

Label: Nukleuz
Released: 7th April, 2008

This one is somehow better & crisper than the over hyped "Big Sky" of 2007 by JOC. The way Rachel stretches her vocals in the break down may not sound impressive at first, but the track definitely grows up on you magnificently once you give it a couple of more listens. The melody is impressive as well with a driving buildup as we approach the end. And all the time I was talking about the Pierre Pienaar Remix.

Rozza featuring Tiff Lacey - No More Rain

Label: Insatiable Records
Released: 7th April, 2008

Ms. Lacey never disappoints us. This time she's teamed up with up & coming British producer Rozza to deliver us a melodic number which you will definitely be humming to for weeks to come. So is it the voice that makes this track a bomb or is it the production of Rozza that does it? Well, we would say it's a combination of both that makes this track excel!

Yamin featuring Marcie - Desperate

Label: Lyon Echo Records
Released: 7th April, 2008

We won't exactly call this trance, but it just tips on the border of progressive house and trance. Again, amazing vocals by our very own Marcie here, and Benya on the production gear. Very angelic and heavenly... comes bundled up with loads of fantastic mixes especially by Micah's Resorting To Batteries Mix... ace stuff!

Gareth Emery - This Is That

Label: Five AM
Released: 7th April, 2008

Gareth Emery - This Is That Gareth Emery seems to be the man of the moment with every release of his being even bigger than his previous material. This one is sharp on the speakers and heavy on the subs. The break down introduces chopped male vocals (or is it?) that instantly set the mood and you're ready to dance through the entire night. Proper dance floor material!

Markus Schulz featuring Dauby - Perfect

Label: Coldharbour Recordings
Released: 1st April, 2008

Markus Schulz featuring Dauby - Perfect Agnelli & Nelson at their very best here with their remix of Markus' "Perfect" featuring Dauby on vocals. The lyrics are fantastic. A&N play with it and tweak it to maximum effect here and what we have is a dance floor bomb with "anthem" written all over it. Impressive stuff!
