Stace
New Voice On Trance Circuit
6th March, 2008
Down from London's Trance music circuit emerges a new voice in the name of Stace. Stacey Kitson or Stace (as she prefers to be known) learned playing the flute and piano at a very tender age. She advanced into musical theatre, gaining appreciation both in school productions and also at the National Youth Music Theatre. She moved to London to hone her singing skills. As luck had it for her, she met like-minded musicians in her college that further helped her form a singer's identity.
Her latest Trance single with Adam White - "Piece Of Mind" largely set up a new wave of Vocal Trance, something that was done very differently in terms of heaps of vocal tunes churned out recently. Thanks to her icy and sexy vocals and an equally fiery work by Adam in the studio. Her Hard Trance affair with Adrenalin Department showcased her new and bold style of singing. Like most of the vocalists, Stace writes her own lyrics.
One of her bio page claims "Stace's voice, often described as sending shivers down your spine, has a versatility that ranges from being very bluesy/jazzy/gritty in the lower reaches up to euphoric in the higher planes. It truly is a huge voice for one so small. Away from Dance music Stace still pursues various other musical interests, including being the vocalist for The Arabada Collective, as well as being involved with collaborations with producers in Jazz, Indie, Rock, Pop, and her long time love, Trip Hop, proving herself far from a one trick pony."
A couple of more releases like "Piece Of Mind" can help satisfy our aural addiction for Stace's vocals, well, till an extent!
