Melody In His Soul

Mike Koglin is yet another influential Trancer who has kept the trance music industry alive. He has innumerable remixes and melodic productions to his credit. Known for creating big melodic leads, Mike today stands as one of the few DJs/Producers to be nominated for a Grammy. He started with an audio engineering course from Germany and moved to London for better opportunities to become a DJ. He has remixed over 75 tracks in the last 8 years and has worked under different aliases as a producer, co-producer and remixer.

Mike started as a DJ in 1998 when Trance was being accepted as a new breakthrough genre. He released "The Silence" which formed the early paths for trance music. It hit the UK Top 20 charts. He is also responsible for crafting beauties like "On My Way", "Pushed On" and "Circuits". While on the remixing circuit Mike did tunes like Lustral's "Everytime", Kirsty Hawkshaw's "Fine Day" and Dido's "All You Want", Boy George's "Same Thing In Reverse", as well as, more recently, Gavyn Mytchel's "Vocoder" and Pulser's "Point Of Impact", One of his tunes "Untitled Audio" co-produced by P.O.S. went really massive and was instantly declared a big melodic tune. The same tune was deliciously remixed by Nitrous Oxide and it hit the trance radio shows very well. Mike introduced his first album 'VS' feature various massive artists from the Trance genre, it got a great response since it was done the Mike Koglin way, lots of co-productions, remixes and single beauties.

The DJ/Producer has an impressive record of playing all across the world, even touching down India, when he played at Gatecrasher in Chennai. Some of his best acts include dance venues such as Passion (UK), The Gallery (UK), Gaudi Arena (Russia), Circus L.A. (USA), 1015 San Francisco (USA), Euphoria (Cyprus), Club Helsinki (Finland), Velfarre (Japan), Club Code (Japan), Club Joule Osaka (Japan), Zouk (Malaysia), Onyx (Singapore), Vision Shanghai (China) and Blowfish (Indonesia) and mostly across European countries.

Mike's take on existential global trance music scene says, "Trance has come full circle, from underground to commercial and back to underground. But the great thing about dance is that it constantly evolves and I think there are some very interesting fusions going on at the moment, for example trance with techno, and I also find the new rock-electro-punk thing very exciting."

Mike Koglin is the head honcho of Noys Music, his own music label where Mixmag described it as 'one of the hottest trance labels in the UK' collaborating with big artists and international singers. He is also there on the wavelength module, the radio shows, where he plays short sets on Kiss100 FM, N-Joy FM, Vibe101 FM, MixFM, ETN radio and several others.

This man is doing it all, melodiously and passionately.
